Carlo Schiattarella
Co-Founder
Carlo Schiattarella has more than 35 years of experience in starting, operating, and developing facilities for charter and private schools. He has played a leading role in establishing several schools in New York with diverse themes such as project-based learning, STEM, and computer science. Carlo is the co-founder of Schoolhouse Project and is responsible for school development. He holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and a B.A. from New York University. Currently, Carlo resides in Stamford, CT, with his wife and three young children.

Andrew McLaughlin
Co-Founder
Andrew McLaughlin has more than 35 years of experience in facility construction and development, particularly in the areas of schools and hospitals. He co-founded the Schoolhouse Project and was responsible for operations and school facility development. Andrew studied Architecture and Design at the New York Institute of Technology. Currently, he resides in Riverdale, NY with his wife and two young children.

Dr. John Kalaboukas
Principal
Dr. Kalaboukas has over 35 years experience in education including training and developing school leaders, teachers, and support staff. He led the successful turnaround of a Health Certification based Charter School; and led highly regarded private schools. Dr. Kalaboukas has been a Professor at St. John’s University’s Graduate School of Education teaching aspiring teachers and administrators to become school district leaders. He earned a Doctorate of Education from St. John’s University.
Dr. Cruceru
Master Math Teacher
Dr. Cruceru ("Dr. C") has over 40 years of experience in teaching Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics at doctoral, graduate, undergraduate, secondary, and elementary levels. He was the Senior Professor and Chairman of the Mathematics and Economics Department at Keller School of Management in New York. Dr. C earned a Ph.D. and Master's degree in Economics, and Statistics from the University of Bucharest, Romania.
Ms. Rose Highland
Master Science Teacher
Ms. Rose Highland has over 30 years of educational experience teaching Science to all grade levels, including Botany, Zoology, Biology, and Chemistry. Her speciality is project based learning with an emphasis on STEM. She earned a master's degree in Secondary Education from Fairfield University and a Bachelor of Education in Sciecnce from Mangalore University in India.Currently she lives with her husband in Wilton, CT.
Ms. Natasha Ulyanov
Artist in Residence /Director of Art
Ms. Natasha Ulyanov is an accomplished artist, and her works can often be seen in local galleries in Fairfield County, New York City, and Sarasota, Florida. She has over 20 years of experience curating artist exhibitions in New York City. Ms. Ulyanov earned a master’s degree in art and business from Sotheby's Institute of Art and a bachelor's degree in Art from Parsons School of Design. She was raised in New Canaan and currently lives with her husband and 3 young child in Stamford, CT.

Jessica Zannikos
K - 8 Educational Advisor
Jessica Zannikos has over 15 years of experience in the field of education. She has held various roles including classroom teacher, instructional coach, dean of instruction, assistant principal, and Principal of the East Harlem Scholars Academy Elementary. Prior to her role at East Harlem Scholars, Jessica worked as a Pre-Kindergarten and 5th-grade teacher in Oklahoma City Public Schools. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts and Political Science from CUNY Hunter College, and a Master of Educational Leadership from NYU.

Dr. Matt Ainley
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Matt Ainley has over 20 years of experience in the technology field with extensive experience in research, instructional, and enterprise computing. He is the founder and President of Edit Technology Support creating strategic IT visions for schools across the country. Matt has a PhD in Computational Physics from the University of York, UK.
