The advisors bring specific expertise of key components in the development of a sustainable and successful school.
Carlo Schiattarella
Co-Founder
Carlo Schiattarella has over 30 years of experience with charter and private school startup, operations, and facility development. He is the Founding Board Chair of AECI Charter School Network, a highly successful High School in NYC.
He is the Co-founder of Schoolhouse Project. Carlo has a Masters from Columbia University and a B.A. from New York University. Carlo presently lives in Stamford CT with his wife and three young children.
Andrew McLaughlin
Co-Founder
Andrew McLaughlin has over 35 years Experience with Facility Construction and development, including schools.
He was a Founding Board Member of AECI Charter School Network, a highly successful High School in New York City,
He was the Co-founder of Schoolhouse Project. Andrew attended the New York Institute of Technology studying Architecture and Design. He currently lives in Riverdale, NY with his wife and 2 young children.
Josh Moreau
CFO
Josh Moreau has 20 years of experience in school budgeting, finance, and accounting. He is founding CFO for AECI Charter School Network, a highly successful charter high school in New York. He is CFO/COO of BoostEd Finance supporting private and charter schools. Josh attended DePaul University and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. He currently lives in Westchester County with his 2 young children.
Matt Ainley
Chief Technology Officer
Matt Ainley has over 20 years experience in the technology field with extensive experience in research, instructional, and enterprise computing. He is the Founder and President of Edit Technology Support creating strategic IT visions for schools across the country. Matt has a PhD in Computational Physics from the University of York, UK.
Natasha Ulyanov
Art Program Advisor
Natasha Ulyanov for over 20 years has been curating artist exhibitions in New York City, created her own fashion line, and painting children's art. Natasha earned a Master's Degree in Art and Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art and a Bachelor of Arts from Parsons School of Design. She was raised in New Canaan and currently lives with her husband and 3 young children in Stamford, CT.
Dr. John Kalaboukas
Upper School Education Advisor
Dr. Kalaboukas has over 35 years experience in education including training and developing school leaders, teachers, and support staff. He led the successful turnaround of a Health Certification based Charter School; and led highly regarded private schools. Currently, Dr. Kalaboukas is a Professor at St. John’s University’s Graduate School of Education teaching aspiring teachers and administrators to become school district leaders. He earned a Doctorate of Education from St. John’s University.
Jessica Zannikos
Lower School Educational Advisor
Jessica Zannikos has been in education for over a decade. She has served as a classroom teacher, Instructional Coach, Dean of Instruction, Assistant Principal, and now Principal of the East Harlem Scholars Academy Elementary. Prior to East Harlem Scholars, Jessica worked as a Pre-Kindergarten and 5th-grade teacher in Oklahoma City Public Schools. Jessica earned a Bachelor's Degree from CUNY Hunter College in English Language Arts and Political Science. She also has a Masters of Educational Leadership from NYU.
Amanda Ainley
Middle School Educational Advisor
Amanda Ainley has nearly 12 years experience in middle school education as a 6th grade science teachers. Presently, she is the Principal of New World Prep focusing on supporting teachers in improving instruction using the Marzano Model o Teaching Effectiveness. Ms. Ainley earned a BA in Childhood/Special Education and a MSEd in Teaching Literacy from Wagner College.
Debbie Moran
Early Childhood Education Advisor
Debbie Moran has nearly 30 years of teaching experience and taught Preschool and Kindergarten in Darien and New Canaan, CT. Debbie is presently the Director of Saint John Preschool in Darien and is an educational consultant for advising and creating academic programs and curriculum. Ms. Moran earned a Master's in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at New York University. Debbie with her husband raised 3 children in Darien and Norwalk and has lived in the area for 27 years.
